Description

The research team WiMuNet has experience in the promotion of the studies of Telecommunications among pre-university students. Some of our members have actively participated in the events organised by the University of Granada to present the grades and masters to secondary schools of the whole province, in talks and practical workshops about engineering at high schools to spark vocations and promote the study of telecommunication engineering.
Additionally, we plan to strengthen our collaboration with entities which can broaden the impact of the proposed actions. Some of these activities are already being run by the School of Computer and Telecommunication Engineering (ETSIIT), the Telecommunications Engineering academic counselor, and the department of Theory of Signal, Telematics and Communications (TSTC) of the University of Granada (UGR). The financial support of this project will allow to broaden the outreach of these activities in conjunction with the presence of key collaborators. The collaborators that can endorse and co-organise these activities are: ETSIIT, TSTC, Cámara de Comercio de Granada, Círculo Tecnológico de Granada, Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Técnicos de Telecomunicación de Andalucía, and Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación Andalucía Oriental y Melilla.
To attract new talent to Telecommunications Engineering related studies, we plan to organise events and activities for different audiences.
